Flying high with the latest BBC drama
BAFTA and Emmy nominated BBC children’s drama Jamie Johnson is back, bigger and better than ever before with their latest team and academy: Hawx United. A fictional team with an identity that gives them all the heart of a real one.
Soaring in style
Designed to fit seamlessly in the world of football whilst capturing the best of Americana, Hawx sets the scene for an action-packed sports campus series, with new episodes dropping every week.
X marks the spot
To truly ruffle feathers, you need an iconic kit. The Hawx language doesn’t stop at the crest or word mark. Shirt patterns and graphic language are inspired by feathers that form a hidden ‘X’ linking back to the team name.
Giving Hawx their wings
No football team is complete without custom numbers so we made Hawx their very own set: instantly recognisable, packed full of fun, and designed to help players take flight on the pitch.
A wing span from kit to social and beyond
Filming took place at Leeds Beckett University, specifically at their sports centre with its iconic red exterior. This became the brand colour for Hawx, bringing energy and passion to the team.
"When we asked Nomad to create a logo that not only represented our fictitious Premier League club, Hawx United, but also to create a brand that would resonate across our spin off series, Jamie Johnson FC, we knew we were setting the bar high. The results were everything we could ask for: Powerful, modern and relatable. It not only lives on the shirts but transcends the drama unfolding on the screen."
